Working at STEM reflects modern ways of working, there is flexibility to meet work and personal commitments ensuring employees can achieve a healthy work life balance.

A STEM Employee riding her bikeSTEM engaged in my “Virtual Mission down the Pan-America highway – the worlds longest road. mapping a route where we can all travel without leaving our local areas.  As a team the goal was to complete 22,000km by walking/running/cycling/swimming etc. moving the distance from Prudhoe Bay at the top of Alaska to “the End of the World” in Ushuaia, Argentina. This mission  was one to aid 3 chosen chairities: CALM,, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Action Against Hunger.

  • June 2021 – over 30 days, the team covered a total distance of 22,000km along the Pan-American Highway!
  • 103 participants from 14 countries contributed by logging time or distance spent doing activities using the My Virtual Mission app (Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, UK, US)
  • £5142 donated to charity – Big Brothers Big Sisters (US), CALM (UK) & Action Against Hunger (Global)
  • Breakdown of activity: 50% walking, 25% cycling, 6% running, 18% other (yoga, baseball, football, swimming etc.)
